How To Setup Your Online Store on Looma

  1. 1. Complete the partnership form

  4. 4. Set your status to "online" and receive orders!

How To Add a Product Category

On the Looma app, vendors are required to set up "categories" so that individual products can be uploaded underneath these categories in order for customers to easily find what they are looking for. To setup categories:

  1. 1. Click on the "my shop" or "my restaurant" icon at the bottom of the screen
  2. 2. Click on add category
  3. 3. Enter the category name. For example if you own a Boutique then shoes can be a category
  4. 4. Select a shop type for your category. For example fashion, if you own a boutique and your category is shoes
  5. 5. Upload an appropriate picture for your category and click on the add category button at the bottom of the page

How to Upload a Product on Looma

After setting up your categories, you can now upload individual products.

  1. 1. Click on the "my shop" or "my restaurant" icon at the bottom of the screen
  2. 2. Click on add product
  3. 3. Enter the name of the product
  4. 4. Enter the Product Price
  5. 5. Select the Product category
  6. 6. Enter a detailed description of the Product
  7. 7. Add a picture of the product by clicking the picture icon at the top of the screen
  8. 8. Upload an accurate picture of the Product
  9. 9. Click on Add Product

Banners And Profile Picture

Choosing the right images for your profile picture and banner are crucial to setting the aesthetic tone of your online shop, which plays a huge role in attracting customers. So choose carefully.

Banner

The Banner is the large image displayed at the top of the my shop page. Click on the button on the bottom right to upload a banner. A banner can be the picture of your store or the logo of your business.

Profile Picture

Click on the circle on the left side of your business name to upload a profile picture. We encourage businesses to upload appropriate images related to their business as profile pictures. Please choose images that will promote your brand and make it easier for customers to find or recognize your store.

How to Update or Change a Product Category

To change/update a product category, click the my shop button at the bottom of the page and then click on the category you wish to change/update and Click on the edit button on the right side.

How to Update/Change a Product

To update/ change a product, click on the my shop button and then click on the product you wish to change/ Update. Click the edit button and then click on the update product button at the bottom once you have finished updating it.

How to Indicate that a Product is Out of Stock

Click on the my shop button, click on the product that is out of stock and click on the green in stock dropdown on the bottom right and change it to out of stock.

How To Indicate that Your Online Store is Not Accepting Orders at the Moment

Click on the my shop button and then click on the green dropdown button on the right side of your shop's name and click on offline.

How to Process Orders

  1. 1. Click on the orders button at the bottom of the page
  2. 2. Click on "new"
  3. 3. Put the items in the appropriate package
  4. 4. Click on "Mark as ready for delivery"
  5. 5. Select the Mode of delivery; either Bike or Keke
  6. 6. Click on Mark as ready. A notification will be sent to a Looma rider and your product will appear underneath the "ready" tab

How To Check Order History

Click on the account button on the bottom right of the screen. Click on the dashboard to see an overview of your store, including categories, product types, Earnings, orders processed, Items sold, as well as your best and worst selling products.

How to Update Store Information

Click on account info to change the name of your store, to update your shop category, or change the location of your shop. Note: All of these changes would have to be approved by Looma before they can be authorized.

How to Chat with Customers

To chat with a customer who has placed an order, go to orders and then click on "new". Click on an order and you will see a chat button on the right side of the customer's name. Click on it then type your message and hit send.

How to Call Customers

To call a customer who has placed an order, go to orders and then click on "new". Click on an order and you will see a phone icon on the right side of the customer's name. Click on it to call that customer.

How Products are Delivered

When a vendor processes an order and chooses the mode of delivery, a message is sent to Looma riders in the vendor's vicinity. One of the riders then accepts the order and picks up the items from the vendor's location. The rider then delivers the goods to the customer and takes a picture for delivery confirmation.

How to Receive Payments

Payments are made to vendors every Friday. Payments are made through cash, mobile money, and bank transfers.

How do Refunds Work?

When one of our riders delivers goods to a customer, then take a picture as proof of delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to check whether or not he/she received the exact items that he/she ordered. If the goods are faulty/ damaged or not the correct items that were ordered, then the customer should communicate with the delivery person or call Looma immediately. In that case the refunds are instant. Or the rider can replace the items with non faulty ones if the customer so chooses. However, if the customer fails to inform the rider of faulty/ incorrect goods and the rider leaves, then the purchases are non-refundable.

As part of the agreement, vendors are expected to replace damaged, faulty, or incorrect goods promptly.
